Name: Ivan Man Dy (李法源)
Occupation: Street Walker Guide ( Old Manila Walks )
Location: City of Manila
Hi there! This is my online journal on everything about my city and my travels. When not doing walking tours, I find myself succumbing to my own itchy feet, poking around small towns, admiring historic architecture, hiking up the mountains, exploring the worlds greatest urban expanses and searching for the best tasting lo-bihon (Ha! figure the last one out!) . Big and small, I love cities and am always in search of the authentic cultural experience.
Through Old Manila Walks, I share to people the essence my Manila. I now seek that same essence as I journey around the Philippines and the world.
Take a walk with me.

Dear Ivan,
Do you still conduct tours? How much would you charge for a group of 10 pax? Hope you can give some other details.
Thanks for doing “chinatown”. I always believe that one should first be a tourist in our own land.
Regards.

Dear Ivan,
I have a friend coming over (son of the current Italian ambassador) and would like to show him Manila through your tours. I’m based in France, but I’m in Manila now and can coordinate everything from here.
My number is 0920 970 4759. He will arrive on March 3 and is staying only until March 6 because he’s exploring the other Philippine islands after.
Let me know how I can arrange everything with you …
Thanks,
Angelique

During WWII I lived, as a child, at 618 Colorado Street (that was the name then). I’ve never been back to Manila, but sometimes think I’d like to go back to see if my house is still there. Does anyone know? It was two houses away from the Spanish Consulate, and most of the block was burned down.
